Play Day Down Little Bryn Gwyn
The sun shone for us today when all of the Valleys Kids Projects came together
The Fresh Beginnings Big Play Day was at Valleys Kids residential cottage, Little Bryn Gwyn on the Gower Peninsula.
Three buses arrived bringing 200 excited children along with their Play-workers and volunteers to celebrate two hours of uninterrupted play. There was plenty of activity with many freelance workers brought in to provide giant inflatable slides, climbing walls, surf simulators, circus skills and face painters.
The fresh home made burgers, sausages and chicken goujons didn"t last for long, neither did the chicken and salad wraps, luckily there were was plenty of fresh fruit salad available for the children to feast on.
We had an amazing kite maker named Nick, who held workshops to show us how to make our own kites. Each of the children had the opportunity to make one and they all went on the common to try them out. Nick also gave a spectacular display of his own kites.
Everyone had a great day with plenty of things to do as the Play-workers had organised some great workshops, the two hours were soon up and it was time for everyone to go. Goodie bags with fresh fruit in were given to each child as they left.
