Ready .... Steady ..... Lets cook (African style)
This weekend, the ArtWorks team took our young volunteers on a residential weekend to further explore the possibilities of an African exchange.
The weekend was a great success and the group had a fantastic time. We ran creative workshops including a chef’s hat making workshops, Ready Steady Cook –African style, a cultural design workshop, and a short session on the upcoming filming project, to find out more about our identities and culture.
The work produced was outstanding, and the weekend brought together young people from all four of our Valleys Kids centres, to discuss how we can further get involved with the Gwirvol volunteering project. We look forward to the next weekend already!
