Valleys Kids began in a whitewashed coal cellar in 1977 as Penygraig
Community Project and now works in 3 key centres Penygraig,
Penyrenglyn and Rhydyfelin
and operates in up to 18 valleys communities.
How we do it:
Volunteers
With the vital support of a committed team of over 100 adult volunteers
and over 50 teenage volunteers who grow and develop with the project Skilled
Professionals With the support of an experienced team of professionals
within each area of our work bringing a high level of skill and commitment.
Co-operation and Collaboration
With the co-operation of, and in collaboration with, statutory and voluntary
agencies and local authority in the area.
Financial Support - public recognition
With the recognition and support of International, National and Local
funding partners.
Community Trust and Respect
With the trust and respect of the children, young people and adults in
the local community who justify the investment of Valleys Kids by their
enthusiastic commitment, loyalty and personal achievements.
